Northern Finland’s Regional State Administrative Agencies has decided to continue Northern Ostrobothnia’s regional restrictions for the COVID-19 epidemic until 15th January 2022. The restrictions ban all indoor and outdoor public events. These restrictions cannot be bypassed using the COVID-19 passport.

Spring 2022 season ticket sales suspended temporarily

Oulu Symphony Orchestra’s first season concert on 13th January (Welcome, Rumon!) is affected by the restrictions, therefore we suspend the season ticket sales temporarily. If the Regional State Administrative Agencies next decision allows concerts to proceed normally after 15th January, season ticket sales will be opened for a limited time. We will notify separately as soon as possible if the season ticket sales continue.

Season ticket, mini series ticket and single ticket compensation

Customers who have purchased a season ticket or a mini series ticket are eligible for a partial compensation for the lost season concerts. 13th January “Welcome, Rumon!” single ticket holders are also eligible for a compensation. We will notify all these customers by email on week commencing 10th January and we will update our website for instructions regarding ticket returns.

Rumon Gamba starts his season with a live stream concert

Due to the ban of public events, Oulu Symphony Orchestra will start its season with a live stream concert. “Welcome Rumon!” concert will be streamed live on Oulu Symphony Orchestra’s YouTube channel and can be viewed for 30 days as a recording. Chief conductor Rumon Gamba’s season opening concert’s soloist will be the Spanish violin player Leticia Moreno.

Oulu Symphony Orchestra would like to thank all our customers for patience and welcome you to our concerts as soon as it is possible once again. Happy New Year everyone!
