In Darkness
Capricious, majestic, cosmic – the art of Canadian composer Owen Pallett defies definition but strikes a chord deep within. Known for his role as the violinist of Arcade Fire, Pallett brings to Oulu selections from the critically acclaimed album Island, where pop, folk and indie fuse into a boundary-breaking ritual.
Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen’s Let Me Tell You, written in 2013 for the Berlin Philharmonic, has travelled the globe from London and Paris to Boston and Cleveland. Soprano Katherine Manley on her debut with Oulu Sinfonia will take you to a harrowing journey into the suffering of Hamlet’s beloved Ophelia.
