Ludwig van Beethoven’s musical treasure trove has inspired artists for over 200 years. Swedish contemporary composer Mats Larsson Gothe shatters Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony into a quirky, fractured kaleidoscope. In his Fourth Symphony, Pyotr Tchaikovsky reaches from the brink of despair to triumph in the spirit of the Fate Symphony.
Hannu Alasaarela, who has risen from Oulu to the heights of Finnish piano artistry, will perform Beethoven’s dramatic Third Piano concerto with his charismatic style. The concert will be conducted by Italian maestra Daniela Musca, who has already impressed audiences in Oulu multiple times.
