Where do we come from, who are we, and how does our earthly journey come to an end? These timeless questions form the heart of this powerful stage production, in which different generations gather around the celestial music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Baritone Waltteri Torikka and legendary artist Jorma Uotinen unite music, movement and light in a dramatic performance. The work, premiered in August 2025 in the Temppeliaukio Church Helsinki as part of Uotinen’s 75th anniversary year, pays tribute to Uotinen’s life’s work as choreographer and dancer.
Joining them in this reflection on the journey of human life are Matias Häkkinen, Oulu Sinfonia, Ensemble Nylandia, dancers Sofia Ruija, Riikka Tankka, Riku Lehtopolku and Kasperi Kolehmainen, and lighting designer Veli-Ville Sivén.
