Prokofiev Festival: The Master of Melody

Great emotions, mysterious melodies, astonishing virtuosity. Sergey Prokofiev reached the pinnacle of his international career with his Violin Concerto No. 2, which became a tremendous success. Immediately upon his return to the Soviet Union, Prokofiev created Romeo and Juliet – a ballet that would become one of his most beloved works of all.

In this concert, the winner of the XII International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition, Inmo Yang, together with Oulu Sinfonia’s Chief Conductor Rumon Gamba delve into the finest romantic works of Prokofiev.
