Ylipää & Friends Piazzolla

Fiery tango blazes into Oulu at the height of the festive season! Singer and actor Maria Ylipää with her virtuosic friends – Marzi Nyman, Niko Kumpuvaara and Ville Herrala – present the passionate, gritty and poetic music of Astor Piazzolla. The revolutionary Argentine composer fused classical music, jazz and traditional tango to create a whole new style: tango nuevo. This concert features Piazzolla’s tangos where love, longing and death entwine in a burning embrace. His works echo both the whisper of the streets and the resonance of the concert hall.

The Buffet is served on 13th and 14th of November at 16.30 PM onwards: main courses before the concert, and dessert during the intermission.
