XII Leevi Madetoja piano competition FINALS

Due to Covid-19 situation and regulations given by authorities, the XII Leevi Madetoja Piano Contest was postponed from January to May. Tickets purchased for the orchestra finals on Friday 28th of January are valid on the new date, too.

The Leevi Madetoja piano competition, founded in 1988, provides an opportunity for young talent to gather important experience in live performance. For the first time in four years, the audience is treated to a rare opportunity to listen to the stars of tomorrow during a full week of competition.

Students at Finnish music institutes, conservatories, and universities of applied science are eligible, as well as exchange students present during this school year. Each of the competitors, 17 years of age or older, get to present their skill performing a piano concerto from established repertoire with the Oulu Symphony Orchestra. Finalists, along with their choices of repertoire, will be announced during the competition week.

Free entry to the concert for Kaikukortti holders (limited amount, must be purchased in advance from Oulu10 service point).

Prices include service fee: Order fee 2 €/order when bought from Ticketmaster shops or 1,50 €/order when bought from Ticketmaster online shop will be added, excluding tickets purchased at Madetoja Hall ticket booth and Kaikukortti-tickets.
