Snowball

The grand musical Snowball, set in the enchanting land of the North, will have its world premiere in Oulu in December 2026.

This new musical for the whole family offers laughter, excitement, and a Christmas atmosphere, as well as a whole bunch of completely new Christmas songs!

Santa Claus’ goddaughter Krista (Petra Pääkkönen) has lived the magic of Christmas in Santa Claus’s village her whole life. Now Krista has begun to crave adventure. On Christmas, an ancient spell is unexpectedly broken, and Santa Claus’s (Kristo Salminen) mysterious past is revealed. Krista must rise to the challenge and save Christmas for the children of the world.

The main roles of Snowball are played by Kristo Salminen, Saara Aalto, Mika Nuojua, Mia Hafrén, Petra Pääkkönen and Veeti Laasila.

The other roles are played by Pekko Hirvonen, Mikko Laine, Heidi Viljanen, Tuuli Mäkiranta, Jenni Kitti, Kaarel Targo, Henri Salin, Fanni Frix, Reeta Vestman, Sini Parkkinen, Ilona Chevakova, Samuli Ainasvuori, Katariina Lantto, Sofia Ruija, Jere Jääskeläinen and Antti Keinänen. The orchestra is Oulu Sinfonia, conducted by Kristian Nyman.

The musical is being produced by an experienced team of authors: script and composition by Douglas Pashley, direction by Paul Garrington, set and costume design by Nicky Shaw, choreography by Reija Wäre, sound design by Richard Brooker, lighting design by Timo Alhanen, makeup and hair design by Pirjo Leino and artistic production by Johan Storgård. The performing rights are managed by Nordic Drama Corner.

The musical will be performed in Finnish, with Swedish and English subtitles.

A limited number of tickets are available for the event with Kaikukortti. Kaikukortti tickets can be redeemed at the Lippu.fi sales point and in Oulu at the Oulu2026 in Kauppakortteli Pekuri. The customer is responsible for the Lippu.fi service fee. Kaikukortti must be present when booking, redeeming and attending the event.
