Concert program

Richard Strauss: Metamorphosen for 23 Solo Strings, TrV 290
Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55, “Eroica”

It has been exactly 80 years since Richard Strauss completed one of his last major works, Metamorphosen for 23 Solo Strings. This profound piece, which delves into the destruction of World War II and the decline of culture and morality, bids a poignant farewell to the glorious history of German musical art.

Selected by critics as the world’s best symphony, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Eroica declared the dawn of the 19th century with its new heroic style. The concert will be conducted by Daniele Giorgi, founder of the renowned Italian Orchestra Leonore.

Head start at Restaurant Preludi at 18:00.
