Pro Oulu Sinfonia: Virtuosi Ultimi

The annual Virtuosi Ultimi Scholarship Concert by the musicians of Oulu Sinfonia has long been regarded as one of the highlights of Oulu’s concert season. During the concert, Oulu Sinfonia’s support association, Pro Oulu Sinfonia, honours three distinguished members of the orchestra, who also appear as soloists in the programme. This year’s scholarship recipients are Principal First Violin Heidi Ilmolahti, Principal Double Bass Antoine Greuzard, and trumpeter Fabio Barros Aguiar. They are joined by pianist Maija Väisänen.

The programme features Joseph Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto, Gabriel Fauré’s Violin Sonata, and music by the Algerian-French composer Victor Servant.

During the intermission, light dinner will be served and is included in the ticket price.
