STAR WARS – A New Hope

The effect of the Star Wars saga in popular culture is indisputable. Its storytelling, characters, special effects, and music by the legendary composer John Williams have touched audiences worldwide for over 40 years. Williams has composed the music for each of the nine Star Wars films in the series released so far, and for the first one, A New Hope, released in 1977, he won the Academy Award for the Best Original Score. In 2005, A New Hope was selected as the Best American Film Score of all time by the American Film Institute. Oulu Sinfonia will present the Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert featuring screenings of the complete film with composer John Williams’ musical score performed live to the film.
