Midnights Sun Variations & MOD

An urban beat, or an endless wilderness? The electricity of synthesizers or the morning mist? Jazz and soul musician Tuomo Prättälä, or composer Outi Tarkiainen, an admiror of the nature of Lapland? Why not both? Midnight Sun Variations, a big success at the BBC Proms, as well as MOD by Tuomo Prättälä, written for synthesizers and orchestra, reflect on manifestations of both the outer and inner world, from the point of view of the composer. In addition to two symphonic works, the concert presents new orchestral versions of works by Tuomo Prättälä, also known as a soul artist.
