Ennio Morricone in Concert

NOTICE! A concert for school groups, also open to other audience. Duration about 60 min., no intermission.

The great film composer Ennio Morricone left an indelible mark on big screens both in Europe and in Hollywood. Some of the most iconic melodies of the maestro with over 500 film score credits include the theme music from Sergio Leone’s Western films: the cry mimicking the howling of a coyote in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, the harrowing electric guitar solo in Once Upon a Time in the West, and the whistling of the anonymous tramp in the film A Fistful of Dollars. In 2016 Morricone won an Oscar for the film Hateful Eight. Maestro Silvano Pasini, the Oulu Symphony Orchestra and the University of Oulu mixed choir Cassiopeia will perform the most beloved music of the Italian, in which nostalgia, passion, bitterness and longing grow into a wave of symphonic moods.

How to enter

Enter your group to the school concert by sending an e-mail to oulusinfonia@ouka.fi no later than on Friday 31st March 2023.

Please include the following information to your e-mail:

• the name of the school
• the contact person: name, e-mail address and telephone number
• how many students and how many teachers does your group include
• does your group include persons with special needs, i. e. wheel chair
• are you paying on arrival or do you prefer an invoice
• billing address (internal invoice to the schools belonging to the City of Oulu organization, external invoice to others).
