Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio is one of the most beautiful and majestic works of the baroque master. In this concert, three of the original six, mostly secular cantatas will be heard. The Christmas Oratorio takes you to the center of events in Bethlehem, where shepherds and wise men of the East are rejoicing over the birth of a miraculous baby boy.
Bach’s majestic long oratorio is a celebration of magnificent choral scenes, decorative arias and brilliant orchestrations in the spirit of Christmas.
