Oulu Symphony Orchestra’s Chamber Musicians are glad to present their last chamber music season’s program, Electronic Nature, with two concerts at the Tulindberg Hall on May 14th at 15.00 and on May 15th at 18.00 at the Botanical Garden of the University of Oulu. Among the protagonists of this program: Prokofiev, Copland, Kanding, Bimstein and Skoryk.
Electronic Nature is designed as an experience of reconnection, a journey throughout music written during the last century by composers of different backgrounds, yet in many ways intertwined and able to coexist and “speak” to each other.
Besides a reflection about the intersect of humanity and natural environment and the relationship between acoustic and electronic sound worlds, we are reminded that music mirrors the composers’ lives but, at the same time, its messages and contents contribute to our whole world’s collective experience, aesthetics and culture and serve as ground for most fruitful civic engagement and development.
