Art, long before politics and diplomacy, or intellectual debates, managed to incorporate the ferment, the anxieties, all collective intentions, social impulses and emotional traces of all cultures in the composers’ background and to transfer them, implicitly or explicitly, into its own structures and ways of expression. It can be seen as a peculiar tool for interpreting reality, beyond any concept and any logical mediation.
In this concert, proudly presented at the Oulu Museum of Art, we will listen to wind quintet music. The wind quintet represents a sort of bridge between the instrumental and vocal worlds and its repertoire allows us to not only appreciate the talents of each individual musician, but also to enjoy a sonority similar to that of an orchestra. During this event by Oulu Sinfonia’s Chamber Musicians, the audience will be guided through the music to better appreciate its history.
Exceptionally, this event has a limited number of participants due to the reduced capacity of the Satula Hall. The first 50 people who will show up at the museum will be able to access the concert space. For all others it will still be possible to access the museum space at the ground floor and listen to the music that will reach the Art Café.
