The concert begins in Mallassauna (Pikisaarentie 15) at 6 pm and the program of the concert leads the listener to get to know the different art spaces of Pikisaari. We will give you instructions on the spot about the practical aspects of the concert.

Oulu Sinfonia’s Chamber Musicians’ November concerts are shaped around the image of a string quartet by candlelight. The music offered is aimed at sharing beauty and reflections over shadows and light, in contrast and harmony with the dark days outside. The string quartets chosen will accompany the listeners into inner dimensions, and considering the approach of All Saints’ Day, will explore four different compositional languages linked to different ways of experiencing spirituality.
Following this symphonic season’s theme, in this program we will also encounter a rarely played string quartet by Erik Tulindberg, an essential character in Finnish music history who lived and worked in Oulu for a long time.
