Gustav Mahler expanded the dimensions of music to gigantic proportions – his symphonies were meant to encompass the entire imaginable world at once. The over 70-minute-long Fifth Symphony wraps the listener into the melodies of death, love, and eternal life, where the threat of chaos and damnation lurks just one step away.
Oulu Sinfonia and the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra join forces as former Chief Conductor of Oulu Sinfonia, Johannes Gustavsson, makes his eagerly awaited return to conduct of the orchestra.
