Antonín Dvořák’s Carnival Overture celebrates the beauty of human life, while Lara Poe’s new piece unites the styles and characters of European cultures. The evening culminates in Sinfonia Concertante, composed by Miklós Rózsa after he created the music for the gladiator film Ben Hur. This thrilling work, filled with blood, sweat, and fighting spirit, is a duel between the violin and viola, with only one victor: the audience hungry for excitement
