Graphic storyteller Joonas Sildre invites the audience to explore the creation of his work Between Two Sounds The journey takes us from composer Arvo Pärt’s childhood to the development of his musical language and his life in Soviet-era Estonia. Sildre shares how the story took shape and how his friendship with the Pärt family grew—all while drawing live in front of the audience. In addition, we will hear Arvo Pärt’s piano works performed by pianist Mart Ernesak . Join us in celebrating the opening of the exhibition The Formula of Love – Tracing the Work of Arvo Pärt and the accompanying concert.
The Arvo Pärt program series is a collaboration between Oulu Sinfonia, Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, and Oulu Music Festival as part of the festival’s Bridge of Sounds project. Bridge of Sounds is part of the Oulu2026 programme.
